While in college I started as a midnight DJ on a local radio station, and continued in communications in the U.S. Army/National Guard. Afterwards I committed to Broadcasting and moonlighted in night clubs. I've held many positions including On Air Program Director/Producer/Sales in West Virginia, Florida, and Texas. Major Market radio experience includes; Atlanta, San Antonio, and Houston. I embraced all aspects of DJ performing, remote broadcasts, and producing in-studio radio promos or MC on stage with the following artists: James Brown, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Larry Glatlin, Don McLean, Four Tops, Sergio Mendez & Brazil '66, Jose Feliciano, Huey Lewis & News, Heart, Joan Jett, Ozzie Ozborne, The Romantics, Adam Ant, and Billie Idol. Today I embrace the excitement in new Dance Music artist and world Class DJs and Artist like Bimbo Jones Lee Dagger and Marc JB, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren,Monster Taxi, Stonebrodge, Kristine W. , Roger Sanchez, Jacinta, Eric Prydz, Pepper Mashay, Barbara Tucker, David Guetta, Markus Schulz, and Paul Van Dyk. Back in the day engineers would wire belt driven turntables to hotel bar house speakers so we could perform at happy hours. Ironically my first resident Disco DJ gig was at Pogo's Atlanta in 1974. Through the 1980's and 90's I continued to DJ in Houston at Randy's Night Club, Bayou Mamma's, 3 year Residence @Quincy's in the Adam's Mark Hotel, and The Diamondback. DJ Residents then were for years at a time. My career and life turned around when I accepted a position working and living in the Middle East from 1992 to June 2010 working for Saudi Aramco Media Productions Department. I embraced an interesting challenge creating 7 English music formats promoting music as a lifestyle in a culturally sensitive environment. I continued Mobile Dj parties and guest DJ in Bahrain Clubs. In 2006 I attended the Winter Music Conference Miami and a theme echoed from new artists not receiving enough on air time! That was the catalyst to create "New Artist Dance Music that Makes You Want to Dance, Club Chaos". It was heard on-air in 4 countries from Studio 1 FM Dhahran. Night Clubs were evolving in Bahrain, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar so timing was perfect. As Sound Director I supervised program training of a multi cultural Broadcast Team that expanded 2 FM Radio stations with many music formats. I also supported 3 Human Resource Management Conferences in Bahrain as a Master of Ceremony, and narrated training development videos for the Oil and Gas Industry. I was fortunate to enjoy music cultures visiting the UK, Europe, South East Asia, Australia, South Africa, Middle East, China and Korea. Try Club Chaos Radio, it will make you want to Dance! |
